Terms & Conditions
Fees vary according to the service provided (e.g. wedding, commitment ceremony, funeral). Please call Mike or email for an exact pricing.

Your booking
When you book my services and nominate a location, time and date for your ceremony, I lock those details into my schedule. It means you come first; my other commitments will be fitted in around your needs.

If you wish to change the location, time or date of your ceremony, I’ll do my best to accommodate your wishes. This may not always be possible, however.

Therefore – it is essential that we discuss your changed needs before you go ahead and change your plans, and especially before others involved in your wedding (guests, caterers, photographers etc) are notified. I will do my best to give you what you want, but in a worst-case scenario I might simply be unable to.

A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking. This secures my services for the time and date of your choosing.

Please note - the deposit is non-refundable: if you decide not to proceed with your ceremony, or decide not to use my services, this deposit will cover some of the work I'll have already done for you, plus partially reimburse me for bookings I could otherwise have made.

Paying the balance
The remaining 50% of my fee is due 14 days before your ceremony. Should you decide, after this, to cancel your ceremony or hire another celebrant, a proportion of this remaining 50% may be refunded, dependent on circumstances.

Additional costs
An extra fee may be charged for the performance of duties above and beyond those normally provided, e.g. a significantly greater number of face-to-face meetings than is normally the case, or travel more than 90 minutes from my home base. (NB this figure is a rule of thumb and at any rate would easily cover travel around the Fleurieu Peninsula, east to Murray Bridge, and the greater Adelaide area, including Elizabeth.) Such a fee will only be levied subject to discussion and agreement between the celebrant and the wedding couple.
Extra will be charged if you want me to wear special clothing - e.g. hat and tails, 'themed' wear. This will cover the cost of purchasing such clothing, plus the time spent finding the appropriate wear.

I give you my undertaking to be punctual. In return I ask the same. However - we all know that the unexpected can (and often does happen), therefore my fees cover a delay of up to 30 minutes beyond the advertised starting time for your ceremony. Should the delay be longer than 30 minutes, I reserve the right to leave - otherwise further delays will jeopardise other bookings, e.g. the wedding of someone else I'm booked for who has managed to get to their venue on time.
In such circumstances no refund will be offered.

Payment terms
Fees are payable by cash, cheque, and direct deposit. Sorry, credit card facilities not available.
